From the Traibe universe

Danny Morningwood

Queen's Ranger. Reluctant romantic. Inventor of the scale.

Danny is the kind of man who would risk his life for a stranger and then spend the evening explaining why he is, in fact, a terrible bet. He joined the Queen's Rangers for the adventure, stayed for the people, and invented the Morningwood Scale one night with a biro, a beer mat and far too much confidence.

He is not nearly as cynical as he sounds, which his friends Bunny and Shooli will confirm, usually while laughing at him.

An extract

The night the scale was born

“Right,” said Danny, uncapping the biro with his teeth. “Three columns. Shed, Bed, Wed. Everyone goes in one. No exceptions.”

Bunny looked at the beer mat, then at Danny, then back at the beer mat. “And where do you go?”

“Shed,” said Danny, without looking up. “Unanimous decision of the committee.”

“There's no committee.”

“There is now. I've just founded it. Pass us another beer mat, this one's full of science.”

Traibe

Same people. Brighter worlds.

Traibe is a story universe about ordinary people doing extraordinary things for each other: better food, kinder people, a brighter London. Danny, Sarah, Pippa and the Trisecta live there, and the book is where you meet them properly.
